The Central Processing Unit (CPU) or the processor is the portion of a computer system that carries out the instructions of a computer program, and is the primary element carrying out the computer's functions. This term has been in use in the computer industry at least since the early 1960s. Every PC has a Central Processing Unit (CPU) this acts as the brain of your system. It connects to the Motherboard and works alongside the other components processing many instructions at the same time between the different hardware and memory systems.
It is the unit that reads and does the instruction. The data in the instruction tells the processor what to do. The instructions are very simple things like reading data from memory or sending data to the user display, but they are processed very quickly that we don’t notice the result. That’s why the bigger the processor the faster your computer will be and now you know what’s in your computer.
